Fourteen quick statements will show which of your seven chakras is asking for attention. Answer on instinct rather than deliberating.
Fourteen statements. Rate how true each one feels right
now — 1 is never, 5 is always. Answer quickly; first instinct is more
useful than a considered answer.
What the Seven Chakras Are
The chakra system comes from Indian tantric and yogic traditions and maps
seven energy centres along the spine, from the base to the crown. Each is
associated with a set of concerns — safety, pleasure, will, love,
expression, insight, meaning.
You do not have to hold any particular belief about subtle energy for the
map to be useful. Read as a framework for self-examination, it groups ordinary
human difficulties in a way that makes patterns easier to spot.
The Seven Centres
- Root (Muladhara) — safety, money, home, the sense
that the ground will hold. - Sacral (Svadhisthana) — pleasure, creativity,
emotion, desire. - Solar Plexus (Manipura) — will, confidence,
boundaries. - Heart (Anahata) — love, connection,
self-compassion. - Throat (Vishuddha) — expression and truth.
- Third Eye (Ajna) — intuition, insight, pattern.
- Crown (Sahasrara) — meaning and connection to
something larger.
What a "Blocked" Chakra Actually Means
The language of blockage is unhelpfully dramatic. Nothing is stuck in a
physical sense, and no quiz can detect an energetic state.
What the result reflects is more ordinary and more useful: you rated
yourself lower on a group of statements about one area of life. If the throat
came out lowest, you told us you edit what you say and struggle to ask
directly. That is worth knowing whatever you believe about energy centres.
How to Read Your Result
Take the lowest-scoring centre as the one to work with, and ignore the
temptation to fix all seven. The chakra system is traditionally worked from
the bottom up: if the root is low, start there regardless of what else scored
badly, because safety underpins everything above it.
Retake it in a month rather than a week. These patterns move slowly, and a
result that changes daily is measuring your mood rather than anything
structural.
Simple Practices for Each Centre
- Root — walk without headphones, cook a proper meal,
sort one drawer. Practical, not mystical. - Sacral — do one thing purely for pleasure with no
productive justification. - Solar plexus — say no to one small thing without
offering a reason. - Heart — say the affectionate thing you usually only
think. - Throat — have the conversation you have been
rehearsing. - Third eye — act on one instinct before reasoning it
away. - Crown — five minutes of stillness with no input at
all.
